WHY do MDs still tell people not to waste money on vitamins? “Here’s a drug instead” Or “Go get a 1 a Day or Centrum, that’s all you need” HELLO< they don’t absorb! It’s like recommending leech treatments…..”catch up, will ya, the world isn’t flat either!
How many years of school are required to realize all bodily functions start with vitamins and minerals?

Swine Flu….pandemic or epidemic?

Posted in My Bio-thoughts on April 28th, 2009 by biometicslady

I’m terrified….literally shaking.  I just got off the phone with a friend.  She has a contact at the Centers for Disease control. Officially the number of cases of Swine Flu is named to be 68.  Wrong.  I guess an entire school in New York took the kids on a trip to Mexico.  Yesterday, 8 were sick.  Today 50 are sick! This is horrifying, especially since there is NO CURE!!!

The only hope we have is to keep ourselves healthy.  Fortify your immune system.  Are you sure that what you are doing for your health is going to make your system strong enough to withstand this? The time is past to convince yourself that cheap drug store vitamin tablets even work!  Are they absorbed?  Not really…I’ve spoken to nursing home attendants who have to change diapers that tell me those expensive pills come out the same way they go in…some with the name still on them.  Makes you feel secure, doesn’t it?

Or maybe you take a liquid.  Is that liquid Micellized? A human cell is approx 7 microns in size.  The average water molocule is about that big too.  A MICELLIZED particle, on the other hand, is 1 to .01 microns. Exactly how is a particle that you find in the average liquid vitamin that is larger than even most water molocules, supposed to be absorbed into the microporin of your cells?  It can’t.  Micellized particles, however, can.

The ONLY vitamin that is 100% absorbed and utalized is a Micellized one.

FDA approves suicide inducing antidepressant for kids

Do you still think Big Pharma is your friend?  Don’t quite believe they actually market drugs that will hurt you?  Think again, as the FDA has just approved, in it’s wisdom, a drug not approved for use in children.  On the Forest Labs own Lexapro website, you’ll find this very clear warning: Antidepressants increased the risk compared to placebo of suicidal thinking and behavior (suicidality) in children, adolescents, and young adults in short-term studies of major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders.

Please, for the children, do NOT give your child these Antidepressants & Stimulants (as for ADHD) AKA “Kiddie Cocaine”, including any “patches” which is just a transdemal delivery system for Ritalin.  Instead use vitamins and minerals and try correct the imbalences, which very often result from nutritional deficiencies. BIOMETICS Scholastic Enhancement will address many deficiencies that result in mood or attention disorders. The Bio-Fuel is a MICELLIZED multi vitamin that can restore vitamin balences.  Bio-Alert and Get-Go-N are both B Vitamin Complexes, containing Choline and Tyrosine respectively. Choline is an important componant for focus and concentration, Tyrosine is a mild anti depressant.  NONE of these things have the potentially deadly side effects of perscription meds.

Is ADHD actually a vitamin deficiency?

Posted in Vitamins on January 4th, 2009 by biometicslady

According to a  decades old Government article , ADHD may not be as complicated as you’ve been led to believe.  I’m quoting here “A 10 year test with rats proved that by withholding Calcium they can be bred down to a third the size of those fed with an adaquate amount of that mineral.  Their intelligence, too, can be controlled by mineral feeding as readily as their size, their bony structure, and their general health.  Place a number of these little animals in a maze after starving some of them in a certain mineral element.  The starved ones will be unable to find their way out, whereas the others will have little or no difficulty in getting out.  Their dispositions can be altered by mineral feeding.  They can be made quarrelsome and belligerent; they can even be turned into cannibals and be made to devour each other.  A cage full of rats will live in amity.  Restrict their Calcium, they will become irritable and draw away from each other.  They will begin to fight.  Restore their Calcium and they will grow more friendly; in time they will begin to sleep in a pile as before.  Many backward children are “stupid” merely because they are deficient in Magnesia.  We punish them for our failure to feed them properly.”

What does this mean for “ADHD”?  I’ll let you make up your own mind on that.

  • But consider this, hasn’t ADHD become more prevalent and problematic in the last few decades?  Why do you suppose that is?
  • Now consider the state of our soils and foods.  This article was written pre 1950, and it was a proven fact that there was serious depletion.  Being married to a farmer, I can tell you with certainty the advent of fertilizer has not solved this problem.  Three things are added to soil, Potash, Nitrogen, and Phosphorus.  Since the human body NEEDS about 98 different minerals, adding three doesn’t make much difference to what we need.  Of course, those three make the plants look good, makes them bigger and helps our yield.
  • Add to this the fact we now have GMO seed.  What is that?  Genetically modified.  It makes the plants resistant to Roundup, which normally kills everything, so the farmer can spray his fields for weeds that sap moisture and nutrition from the plant.  The necessity for this is an entirely different article, the bottom line is that spray is poison.  So on top of vitamin mineral deficiency, our bodies have to deal with poison.
  • Then we have transport time.  This is much longer than it used to be, and every moment a fruit or vegetable is not eaten after harvest, it’s value depletes.

So what does all of this lead us to conclude?  You know the answer to that.  What I can suggest, however, is the possibily that our ultra absorbable liquid vitamins and unique Calcium/Magnesium drink may indeed offer you and yours more help in this area of ADHD than you realize.  I cannot name specifics, so please get with me at Biometicslady@yahoo.com and I will point you in the right direction.

Doctor’s Orders: Take Your Supplements

Doctor’s Orders: Take Your Supplements

Does your doctor take nutritional supplements? The answer may surprise you. The stereotype says that doctors completely disregard nutritional supplements, and instead place their faith in ”mainstream medicine.” It turns out that the number of physicians and nurses who take dietary supplements is higher than the number of average Americans who take supplements.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a trade association representing ingredient suppliers and manufacturers in the dietary supplement industry, conducted a survey of health care professionals, “to determine the personal attitudes toward dietary supplements of those people working in healthcare and how this impacts whether or not they recommend supplements to their patients.”

The survey results showed that, contrary to the stereotype, 89 percent of nurses, and 72 percent of physicians take dietary supplements, while only 68 percent of Americans overall take dietary supplements. Of the doctors taking supplements, 85 percent of them recommend supplements to their patients. What the survey also discovered is that even physicians who do not take supplements are comfortable talking about supplements with their patients. Of the 28 percent of physicians who do not take dietary supplements, 62 percent recommend supplements to their patients.

This last bit of news, while extremely positive, is rather surprising. What could be causing so many physicians who do not take supplements to recommend them to their patients? One theory is that the physicians are recommending patients take supplements for specific conditions (such as glucosamine for arthritis, or calcium for osteoporosis), while the doctors themselves do not suffer that condition.

The data from this survey suggests that physicians are following the recommendations from the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), which in 2002 began recommending that everyone, regardless of age or health status, take a daily multivitamin. The American Medical Association’s recommendation was based on comparisons of many long term studies, which showed that vitamin deficiencies are strongly linked to a wide range of illnesses and diseases, such as cancer and coronary heart disease. The JAMA’s researchers concluded at the time that, “It’s rare to find a health-promoter that offers such a substantial benefit with a relatively low cost and low risk of problems, and when you have such a thing,  you ought to jump on it.” The most recent research seems to agree that Americans should “jump on it” and take their multivitamins to obtain the vitamins and minerals they are missing by not eating a healthy diet.
